My Petcious

My Petcious is an online pet care brand founded by a team of passionate pet lovers and professionals, including veterinarian Dr. Erik. The brand offers a wide range of pet care solutions—from prescription diets, supplements, and accessories to veterinary services and educational content — all carefully selected to ensure safety, quality, and optimal pet health.

To support My Petcious in building a strong and memorable brand foundation, we conducted a comprehensive branding workshop that guided the team through defining their brand story, mission, vision, and target audience. Following the workshop, we developed a full suite of brand identity assets—including a logo, color palette, typography, packaging design, website direction, and social media visuals — to ensure a consistent and engaging brand experience across all touchpoints

Before diving into the visual identity, we kicked off the project with a tailored branding workshop to deeply understand the My Petcious team and their business. The session explored their background, core objectives, product and service offerings, team dynamics, brand mission and vision, brand purpose, and unique value proposition. We also worked together to define their target audience, market positioning, brand expectations, and marketing direction. This foundation ensured that every design decision aligned with the heart of the brand.

Following the workshop, we conducted in-depth market research to analyze local competitors and gather valuable business references for creative inspiration. Based on these insights, we developed the branding background, crafted a compelling brand story, and defined the core brand values that reflect My Petcious’s commitment to pet wellness and professional care.

We then moved on to shaping the brand’s look and feel. The logo features playful cat and dog silhouettes, incorporating a serif typeface with custom letter tails designed to resemble pet tails—adding charm and personality. The balanced letter spacing enhances openness and warmth, while a subtle "+" shaped star is integrated to highlight the brand's veterinary expertise. This approach merges playfulness with elegance, making the identity feel both professional and approachable. Multiple logo versions were created for different applications: standard Version, for clear, consistent usage across all platforms an signature Version – with added flair, ideal for branded merchandise, campaigns, or posters

The primary color, Hunter Green, was chosen for its calming and cozy tone, supported by light blue and orange as accent colors—commonly seen in veterinary settings to evoke a sense of professionalism and care. For typography, we selected Fraunces for English and Gen Jyuu Gothic for Chinese. Both typefaces feature rounded strokes and soft edges that complement the brand’s pet-friendly character while maintaining a clean, readable, and slightly sophisticated look.

To enrich the brand’s personality, we developed a set of custom illustration elements, including pet graphics, iconography for the website, presentation decks, and social media. We also suggested using soft curve lines in graphic applications and packaging to reinforce warmth and flow. Mockups were created to help visualize and guide the design direction.

To provide a clear creative direction for the team, we designed a website mockup and social media templates. These assets serve as visual and stylistic guidelines to ensure consistency and ease of execution in both online platforms and ongoing marketing efforts.
